The Colby Police Department is located in the Law Enforcement Center at 225 N. Court. The Police Department shares this facility with the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office.

The Colby Police Department consists of 12 sworn officers and 6 civilian personnel commanded by the Chief of Police, serving a resident community of approximately 6,000.  We receive about 9,500 calls for service annually.
